Great place with affordable prices! Love the ice cream at the end! Staff is very friendly. Authentic!UPDATE APRIL 24TH - I love this place and am in disbelief right now to my horrible experience I JUST had!!! I ordered food to go and when I got their the price was a little more then what I heard over the phone so I asked if I could not purchase a side of rice, when she went back to the cooks so they could take the rice back I heard the lady tell them, "She doesn't want the rice, she's stingy". I was just in a car accident, life flighted and out of work, I barely have a penny to my name but yet I still went to them as they WERE my favorite place. Incorrect cold tacos is what I ended up going home to, in the garbage they went as well as my good mood for the day. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed!

Generally speaking we go to this restaurant about once every couple months. It's a good option for a sit down meal versus fast food in the area. The only complaint I have is sometimes the food tastes better on one visit and the same dish might not be as flavorful on the next visit. If they are following recipes it should taste much the same which leads me to think they don't make it or try to make it the same every time and it can likely vary depending on who cooks it. This could be intentional but when you've had a very tasty burrito and your hungry and decide that's what you want then it can be disappointing when it's not as good.

I enjoy the food and atmosphere. When I want Mexican food, this is my go to place. I like dishes that use red or green chili rather than a tomatoe base sauce. At meals end, you will be served a delicious dessert treat.

Rustic in strip mall setting, being sat close to kitchen when establishment is mostly empty was a bad start, average greeting, average food, nothing outstanding or stood out, friendly staff, older decor, cleaning carpet with sweeper while patrons dine which must be done from time to time because of customers that can't get all the food in the mouth at one time!Overall aok, but probably wouldn't return anytime soon!

Very very disappointed were trying to do orders delivered because were older and really don't want to sit in and eat but now two different times, shame on me, but tried again they just dont care about freshness of delivery ordered a chicken chimichangas at top of hour they said 25 to 30 ok fine 10 minutes later delivery. Well it was half very cool and could not even cut through inside was co.etely dry so very disappointing beans only tepid and sparse and a very dry on cool side. VERY AWFUL MEALcalled and told them got a hole lot of attitude will not order there again lived here for 27 yrs do not understand there hospitality.🙄😣

This place is disgusting I found not one fly but two flys in my ceviche de Camaron. Do not recommend! I took pictures! My husband said his burrito did not taste right like a chemical of some sort.

So nice to have such an authentic experience right here in Forest Grove, Oregon! Nice relaxing atmosphere inside and fast takeout. The meal sizes are quite plentiful. My top choice would have to be the carne asada burrito and 2nd the shredded beef chimichanga.

My favorite Mexican joint in the Portland metro area. The food is fantastic! The margaritas are just as amazing. The staff is incredibly courteous, attentive and timely. Its a wonderful experience everytime I go.

This restaurant is tucked away in strip mall, I didn't expect much. The food was really good compared to other typical Mexican restaurants. Staff was friendly, portions we're big, and food was hot and delicious. Yes I will be back!

It has good food but I wouldn’t cal it traditional Mexican food. I enjoy it and would recommend everyone to try it. Their chips and salsa is very good.

Not what it used to be. So salty no other flavors came through. Presentation is terrible, take out container is two plates stapled together. Definitely not worth the cost.

Best mexican food in the area and a super friendly staff! I go there regularly for margaritas and tacos/ enchilada, also there nachos are great for sharing.

La sierra is a comfortable little restaurant, server is great as per most of the restaurants in the area but some of the menu items I find are lacking in authenticity. overall a good place with few dissapointments

La Sierra doenst serve traditional tacos, they serve non traditional tacos with the hard shell. Very disappointed when I got all the way home and opened up my to-go box only to find hard shells. This is the second time this has happened, the meat was delicious though, but it looks like I’m gonna have find a New Mexican restaurant to go to.

We had terrible service and our order took a long time. I had to ask for the tortillas which should have come with the fajitas. They never came back to fill my ice tea or asked if we wanted more drinks. The food was ok nothing great. I won't be coming back.

The service was fast and courteous. The food I had was delicious. Of particular note was the beef tamale, which was nicely spiced.

We've been looking for a new go to mexican place since we moved in the area and this place exceeded our expectations. From the excellent service, bountiful portions, affordable prices, flavorful beans and tasty mixed drinks and free dessert to top it off. This place deserves nothing less than a 5 star. Sorry no pics our plates were cleaned off.

The service is great, but the food has gone massively downhill since it opened. The last 4 times I've been, (I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt after eating there at least 7 or 8 times before,) at least one of the meals ordered was like chewing on a flavored salt lick. And the last 2 times, both meals ordered were inedible due to the amount of salt in them. Not entirely sure how they have stayed in business this long with the chef(s) they have, but at the same time two Hispanic gentlemen I work with have never had the same issue. Selective clientele maybe? Just seems really odd...Hopefully they'll lighten up with the salt the next time I try to give them a chance. Good luck to the rest of you.

We usually love this place but the food quality has gone way down. The staff is very slow now & even forgets to bring u things.

Everything on the menu is 🔥 (when dining in), but La Sierra needs to come up with a better packaging method. Invest a little more! My food is cold and sauces are all over by the time I get to it (within 15 minutes of ordering) 🤦🏽‍♀️. Also make sure to double check your food orders (when picking up/ ordering out). I have gotten someone else’s dish before (I still devoured, but could’ve been allergic to it’s ingredients). 🤷🏽‍♀️

Busy tonight. Even so the staff was keeping up. They are always polite. Tonight they were polite and efficient. It was a bit noisy. Love the food here.
